The St. John the Baptist Medical Center Inc. is a secondary hospital established in Parian, Calamba City, Laguna. It was constructed in February 1997 and started operation in May 1999. It is a 3- Storey building with a total floor area of 3,000 square meters. The hospital sits on a well secured ½ hectare land and offers ample courtesy parking lots for its guests, patients and doctors.

In terms of land area, The Hospital is the biggest in Calamba City. It is located at the Western Side of the City, About 300 meters East of Liana’s Supermarket at Barangay Parian away from the City’s traffic congestions. Philhealth in 2001, ranked the hospital as the cleanest in Calamba City.

The DOH approved its license in November 1999 and Philhealth/Medicare Accreditation was approved in April 2000. At Present we are also accredited by the different HMO’s and Industrial Companies.
Job Description The employee assists and supports department operations by filing documents, reconciling statements and assisting and supporting doctors and patients in its general operation. Specifically the employee will take the following responsibility; 1. Prepare materials needed and equipment prior to examination 2. Review patient schedule and arrange according to doctors’ availability 3. Carry out doctors order for specific examination 4. Schedule changing of linen and assisting patients in preparing prior to examination 5. Conduct patient interview and encode data in patient’s profile 6. Render procedure to be conducted and instruct and direct patient to settle payment 7. Explain the procedure and assist patient to reduce anxiety prior to the procedure 8. Ensure patient clear understanding of preparation including fasting and time of medication as ordered. 9. Assist doctor in every procedure to obtain quality images and assist in positioning transducer 10. Ensure accurate results are achieved through close monitoring of signals, adjusting equipment to determine artifacts that mimic abnormalities and recording of images 11. Record examination information accurately and produce hard copy of graphics and data 12. Calculate measurements of heart wall, chamber size and blood flow direction and velocity 13. Prepare results for official reading 14. Conduct initial reading of echo and inform cardiologist of the result 15. Encoding and releasing of official examination results 16. Accomplish and submit ultrasound/echo income and expense reports monthly and annually 17. Facilitate collection of reader’s fee 18. Protect patient privacy by adhering to strict confidentiality 19. Protect patient by adhering to safety policies and protocols 20. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential 21. Assist and position patient into the examining bed 22. Prepare supplies and materials needed before the procedure 23. Initiate professional and personal update by participating in training and enhancement activities 24. Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time
Job Qualifications - Graduate of 4 year medical related course
- Preferably with 2D Echo Certificate
- With good patient rapport
- Very good oral and written communication skills
- at least 6 months to 1 year hospital experience
